Firewall Ports Used by trixbox Pro
NOTE: Generally, meaning about 95% of the time, trixbox Pro does not require any changes to be made to your firewall. The only exceptions are to enable remote telecommuters, or where the firewall has unusually strict outbound access rules.
| Direction | Protocol | Port # | Usage |
| Outbound | TCP | 8000 | trixbox Pro server tunnel to trixbox Data Center. Once the connection is established, an HTTPS/SSL encrypted protocol exchanges status and control messages. Occasionally, an SSH session is used for trouble-shooting. |
| Outbound | TCP | 80 | HUD Server |
| Outbound | TCP | 9000 | trixbox Pro server fallback for dynamic routing. Rarely used, only upon a failure of the internal routing engine. |
| Inbound | TCP | 6600 | HUD Remote Users |
| Both | UDP | 5060 | SIP Signalling for Remote IP phones |
